About
Danny Dobson is a British architect who makes luxury tropical houses in Bali.
He studied architecture at the University of Liverpool, then spent a decade at OMA in Rotterdam, Henning Larsen in Copenhagen, and Buro Ole Scheeren in Beijing — working on large-scale cultural and commercial projects before starting his own practice.
His work is specific to the tropics: open structures that respond to heat, humidity, monsoon rain, and the particular way light moves through a building near the equator. Every project is designed for its site, its climate, and the way its owners actually live.

a tropical architect is the practice of Danny Dobson.
