Mini Me
Shanghai, China
2019
Interactive retail unit
A retail unit built around a single transaction: step onto the platform, get scanned, and walk away with a miniature of yourself.
The space is organised around a glowing hexagonal stage at its centre. Visitors stand on the illuminated platform while an array of scanner towers captures a full 3D model — no posing rig, no green screen, just a ring of white monoliths doing the work. The scan becomes a printed figurine: a mini me.
The architecture stays deliberately quiet so the process can be the spectacle. White columns conceal the scanning hardware, a hexagonal halo overhead marks the stage, and the graphic language — scan, print, collect — is carried in illuminated hexagons on the brand wall. The unit was designed to slot into an existing store, keeping the host's counter and circulation intact while turning a corner of the floor plate into a piece of theatre.
The customer is the product. Everything else steps back.
